About Me

***Coming to COP***

Doing this a bit on the fly due to the current housing situation.

I am an activist filmmaker and photographer coming to COP to volunteer covering events, protests and projects from other activists doing amazing work.

Would be super grateful if anyone could help me out with a couch from the 5th to the 9th! I know this isn't the community for random requests, so I would be more than happy to give something back and even bring you along to some of the events if you are interested!

Lots of love X

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have always been interested in couchsurfing and heard so many awesome stories of people who did it, so I decided it would be the best way to do this trip since I will the chance to meet different kinds of people.

Interests

Storytelling is something that has been a part of my life since I was young. The bedtime stories my parents and grandparents told me as a kid are still the ones I hold closest to me. I like to think that it's because of them that I started making and writing my own stories as a kid, which eventually followed me into adulthood.
After a while I decided to shift from writing to making films and have dedicated myself to it ever since, but I haven't stopped writing.
I like people. I like learning about their stories, I like knowing who they are and where they come from and I like making friends with them. People are the main reason I make films and take photos, but thats another conversation :)
Apart from that I love languages and want to learn as many as I can. Currently trying to learn Tamasheq and Bambara. Someone teach me some Dutch!

Music, Movies, and Books

Haven't read a lot of books, but of the ones I have I enjoyed The Shadow of the Wind by Zafon and American Gods by Neil Gaiman the most. I'm trying to read more. Currently working on Lord of the Rings and a book about Egyptian Mythology.

I listen to a lot of music so its hard to say, but it goes from classical to psychedelic rock, grunge, funk, soul, blues, ambient, jazz, desert rock, etc. I've been listening to Knower, Com Truise and Aphex Twin a lot recently.

There's so many films I love, but some of them are Mulholland Drive, 2001, Enter the Void, Bombay Beach, Inherent Vice, Moonlight, Princess Mononoke, Mommy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I can twist my right arm 400 degrees without breaking it. I promise I'll show you, its disgusting.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you some film/video making and photography skills and also some guitar basics. I love learning new skills or facts or anything really, so I will be happy with anything you are willing to share with me :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I like taking pictures of people, there's a chance I will want to take one of you at some point, so you will have a nice portrait of yourself to keep :)

Countries I’ve Visited

France, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, Tunisia
