My name is João Bernardo Valente, i'm from Lisbon (Portugal) and i'm a true and absolute lover of art in general. That's why I keep studding it! I finished my course at the faculty of Fine Art of Lisbon and for the past 3 year or so I've been investing in my true passion: MUSIC! Playing it, composing it, listening to it, performing it, learning it, you name it. And so I am a working musician, starting, but working, and I feel the need to know more about other cultures and learn them by meeting locals and experiencing them to the fullest. Also I'm going to Europe to play music on the streets, a.k.a., to go busking! I want to travel because I feel it's a gap in my life and it is something that I hope I can do regularly from now on. I have so much to learn and to give to others too, that I feel that it's time to finally and actually do it!

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a lover of all music, truly. But if I had to pick my favorite ones, I would probably choose Rock music, Jazz music, and a Fusion between the two of them! And Bossa Nova, a.k.a., brazilian jazz. My favorite movies are Cinema Paradiso, every thing by Quentin Tarantino, Fight Club... they are so many... I'm not a book person but I love to write from time to time. Kind of a paradox actually!

I can teach portuguese, guitar, and music! Also I can show a lot of incredible music that I love. I hope I can learn the mores and habits of other cultures through out the world, and hope I can do the same for other people, when I have the chance.
