Overview
About Me
I'm a cyclist, living in Belo Horizonte, Brasil, and I love bringing my bike for every where I go. My life goal is to make the world more bikeable. I have a damm lot more of things and stories to tell about my life but, in the past 4 year I've been dedicating my self to the cycling life, the cycling culture. It's about encouraging people to use their bikes, teaching how to give maintenance on the own bike, how to ride on traffic, and clearing many kind of doubts anyone can have about commuting on a bicycle. Whem I'm traveling I use to bring two bicycles with me, so if you want we can ride together some day =). Or even if you are in my city, so then you'll be lucky to stay in my place, rs.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on couch surfing to put faith on my belief that we should have more options to connect our selfs in this hole world. Hosting someone (not renting a room, really hosting) it's for me a noble gesture of wisdom in opening your home to an outside visitor. I love hosting, and showing my city to the guests, especially foreigners. The most important for me is having contact with people from different places, no matter if it's surfing or hosting.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I began on couchsurfing during my life time in Dublin, when I found myself very motivated to travel without expending many material resources (like money), so then I found on couchsurfing the best way of doing that. I got to know new people in a closer way, helping my self on my journey.
Interests
My main interests it's to travel without paying for every thing, without expeding so much money. I mean, nowadays you gotta pay for almost every thing you wanna do. If you wanna go from some place to other, you have to pay transport, you have to pay for a place to stay, you have to pay for water, you have to pay to see something, and that sucks. Some people thinks that it's wrong to use couchsurf as free hostel, but I don't think so. I think couch surfing should be seen also as a way of escaping of the gears of capitalis, where almost all instances of life are commoditized and monetized by this system. It should be used to avoid that system. So then many people could know the world they live without spending such a big quantie of money. And of course I think it's much more interesting the experience when you really brings something from your culture for every ones that host you or every one you host, so then the thing gets the cultural enriching aspect.
