About Me
CURRENT MISSION
livin' the American dream! For half a year :)
ABOUT ME
I've finished my studies in Portugal, concluding a B.Sc in Biochemistry, last September, and then I packed my things and moved to Utrecht, Netherlands, for a Master.
Since October I've been around Palo Alto, California, doing research at Stanford University. Been good so far :D
I'm a quiet guy, enjoying a nice conversation over a hardcore party at some disco. I don't drink, nor smoke, nor do drugs, so I've been regarded by some as a sissy. Honestly, don't care :) Unfortunately for me, I usually do the same stuff as drunks do, but without the ethanol excuse.
I'm really relaxed, and I can enjoy pretty much everything and everyone. Have yet to meet the person I can't hang out with (at least for a couple of days) :P
PHILOSOPHY
No one is perfect.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Not much space in my current house but I can easily meet up people in Palo Alto, or San Francisco (just 1h train away).
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
At the moment, none. In the near future, hope some :)
Interests
Since I do science, I like science :) I do computational structural biology, so I am kind of in between the fields of CS and Biology. And I know enough to sound geeky :)
A nice chat on a Saturday evening at a bar sound good as well.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music. I'm always with my MP3 player in my ears. If not, it's my cellphone with radio/mp3 on it. If not, it's my laptop. I listen to pretty much everything, from Blind Guardian/Metallica to Snow Patrol/Damien Rice.
Bookwise, when I was 21 I read 20 books in two weeks in Summer. Ever since I got quite bored of reading. Still, I managed to read The Name of the Rose and the lastest Stephen King's novel 'Under the Dome' in the past month.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I could mention last year's Koninginnedag, but I'll go with Thailand and China 4-1/2 years ago. Amazing landscapes, amazing places to relax and to walk around. To go back one day!
