About Me

I am looking for a female travel buddy/compañera for a journey with my 4x4 motorhome via the Panamerican highway all the way to Alaska. Now I am traveling in the western part of the US. I am planning to travel north through the US, then the western part of Canada to Alaska, after that returning to Canada to reach the east coast of Canada in October 2023.

If you like, you are invited to travel with me for a part of this trip or the entire epic journey. Send me a WhatsApp message to learn more details and to find out where I am at this moment.

I am a medical doctor from Germany enjoying vanlife and worldwide discoveries, the great outdoors and history and culture of the countries that I visit.

I think, it's most important that you are curious to discover the world and have time to do so.
Let's search for the unexpected and let's discover the world and each other!

We can meet somewhere in the western US, and get to know each other before we decide to travel for a while or for a prolonged time together in a camper!
For more information please contact me via WhatsApp +54 9 351 290-3278

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I offer to share the camper, the vanlife, the joy of discovering and most of all the experience of an extensive trip through the Americas from South to the very North. You may join me in the "dicovery of the unexpected" just for parts of the trip or for the remaining months until October.

Music, Movies, and Books

- Márquez: 100 years of solitude (seems to fit to "100 days of lonely roads" on our trip!?)
- Just finished Precht: History of Philosophy (from a German Philosopher), waiting for the 4th volume.
- History of Latin America
- Harari "A brief history of human kind"
- Steven Hawking's books
-
- And of course everything regarding natural sciences:
- just finished a lecture on Quantum physics from this years Austrian Nobel laureat Anton Zeilinger
(teleportation of entanglement - realy crazy!)
- Science journals "Nature", "Science" and many medical journals.
There is definitively more interesting stuff to read than time allows.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I loved to stay with locals in Argentina, e.g. during my Spanish language course in Cordoba recently.
There is no better way to get an impression of a country and of the approach to everyday life than to stay with locals. I have to admit: even my beloved reading materials can not compete with this touch of a different real life!

Teach, Learn, Share

Working as an academic teacher in Medicine was very interesting for me for many years. But now I decided it's time to turn to learning subjects in which I am not the expert. Instead I endulge again in the steep part of the learning curve and discover all these jaw dropping insights and impressions from nature to the mindset of people of different cultural backgrond and life experience.
