Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am traveling through the US in February before going to Peru and possibly elsewhere after! Staying in hostels is good fun but I find it hard to beat staying with locals, learning about their lives and cultures. Its the real sense of travelling!
I always want to share the same sense with anyone who I can host in my home

Interests

I teach outdoor sports for a living and always love a good adventure. I find that spending time in nature, whether walking or surfing or sailing, can be invaluable experience. I love being in on both calming and challenging conditions when in the outdoors. Currently looking into mindfulness and adventure therapy as a way of helping people with stress, addiction and personal development

Music, Movies, and Books

I like almost all music, more acoustic but have plenty of drum and bass too! Getting to listen to local musicians is always a cool experience when travelling through their country!
When it comes to movies, anything from incredible true story to a silly comedy will always do!
Shawshank Redemption and Dumb and Dumber are oddly but truely too of my favourites :P
Any book that can teach me more about consciousness, the world, history or travel is a book I want to read!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have just sailed across the Atlantic from Europe to the Caribbean via the west coast of Africa. Was an amazing experience and hoping to add to it with my travels in the Americas!
