Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Learning how to be an entrepreneur... (or if I can be one!)
ABOUT ME
Jo: I moved to Tel Aviv at the beginning of 2010 to be with my boyfriend, now husband, Amit. I'm an Aussie who has lived in Canberra, Brisbane, Gold Coast and Sydney, and also in Montreal (Canada), Newcastle (UK) and Fukuoka (Japan). I like good conversations, drinking coffee or beer or red wine, going to the beach, eating amazing Israeli food...
My husband Amit is an amazing photographer, and also works in a startup company (Israeli is the Start-up nation after all!).
We love meeting new people and discovering new places.
PHILOSOPHY
Mostly I'm overwhelmed by how much there is to learn in this amazing world that we live in.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We love travelling and staying on couches, and we also enjoy showing people around when they visit Tel Aviv!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Some friends were part of the CS community in Canberra and seemed like a great bunch. I also joined some couchsurfing events in Tel Aviv when I first arrived here, and it was a great friendly introduction to this amazing group of people!
In 2013 we couchsurfed in Japan and had an amazing time!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
meeting my Israeli husband at a cooking school in Hoi An, Vietnam in 2009 is the most amazing thing I've done lately, considering it has led me to move to the other side of the world!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can give you a crash course in Australian ecology and environmental issues... There are some parallels to the Israeli environment, but I'm still discovering them! I'm also good with random science and history facts. I also enjoy discussing life as an expat.
Amit will be sure to take amazing photos of our visit and share them with you :) Check out his website: http://flyonthewall.co.il
