About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Get out and actually see the world.

ABOUT ME

I possibly use way too many emoticons, to the point where it irritates people. :) I'm pretty happy to talk to almost anyone about almost anything (excludes creepy people, if I don't feel comfortable I'm not going to stick around). I'm "bubble-gum indie", and completely unashamed of that, as I think the alt-mainstream war is like totally mainstream now ;).
I love cooking, but only for people, if it's just myself I'd rather just eat toast. I've just finished my final year of high school back in Australia and am now on the traditional overseas gap year along with everyone else in Aus.
For me travelling is about realising just how amazing home is, although I'm definitely tempted to move home to Paris after experiencing the fresh food and amazing wine there! And also realising just how much the "material things" actually matter. I don't care if I sound shallow, I miss my stereo, and my slippers, and my books(!) and my kitchen!

PS. Guys I hate to have to say this, but CS is NOT a dating site, please do not send me generic pick up messages, I really don't appreciate it, if you're genuinely friendly and just interested in helping out a traveller then that's great, but please at least say something that lets me know you've read my profile. :)

PHILOSOPHY

Mistakes are only mistakes when you don't learn from them.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm actually just starting out in the CS community, but I'm really excited to become more involved in everything. At the moment I'm just looking to surf as I'm not really in a position to host anyone, but I'm really looking forward to being able to offer up my couch later on and meet a whole heap of cool new interesting people without having to go anywhere.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couch surfed in Copenhagen with friends of a friend of a boyfriend and got to meet a lot of crazy people through that. :P

Interests

Music- listening to it, talking about it, playing it, singing along to it, making it up and dancing to it. Coffee- mostly just drinking it. People- I love meeting people, catching up with old friends and just talking in general about anything really, as long as it's interesting. Apart from that, I just kind of want to experience everything (almost) that the world has to offer.

Music, Movies, and Books

Post-rock and dubstep kiddies that's where it's at. Actually music from a range of genres, big fan of Sigur Ros, Jezabels, Little Red, Wombats, Naked and the Famous, Skrillex, Paul Dempsey: lots of Australian music.
My favourite movie of all time is possibly, but I can't really be sure, Dead Poet's Society, but I like a lot of movies, so it's hard to choose just one.
As for books, I generally try to only read books that avoid reality, so crime thrillers etc. are out. Period romances are my guilty pleasure, along with an embarrassing amount of trashy chick-lit, but I'll occasionally read something intellectual to try and combat that.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Camped out and saw the Supermoon. I have never seen the moon that bright, it was almost like daylight. Amazing. And so beautiful.

Teach, Learn, Share

Always looking to learn something, for instance I stayed with this guy in Copenhagen who taught me how to solve cubes.
I can cook, and love doing it, so more than happy to borrow someone's kitchen and cook them up a meal.

Countries I’ve Visited

Denmark, Germany, Netherlands

Countries I’ve Lived In

Australia, France
