ABOUT ME
My wife and I are very adventerous and active people who love traveling around the world and the United States. We have been traveling a ton the past few years while we have the opportunity with our jobs. We have visited so many amazing places but decided we needed to do a European adventure together while we have the chance. Our favorite places so far have been the Caribbean and Hawaii. We are both very easy to get along with, reliable and respectful of people's property. We love biking, hiking, swimming and meeting new people. Also just hanging out with friends and enjoying a beer.
PHILOSOPHY
-You only have one life so enjoy it every day.
-Work hard and play hard.
-Treat people as you would want to be treated.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
My sister and I traveled around Europe together for 3 weeks in May and surprisingly were able to couch surf half of our trip. We had such a awesome experience with all the places we CS at and different CS people we met along our trip in Europe. I now want show my wife Kate how awesome couchsurfing is.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My sister and I went to Europe end of April and most of May for a 3 week trip in 2008! We visited Rome, Greece, Spain and ended our trip in Amsterdam. We couch surfed with people 4 out of the 6 cities we visited in Europe. All of our hosts were fabulous and very welcoming to us staying with them. My sister and I enjoyed meeting so many new people around the world that I now want to share this experience with my wife Kate. We valued being able to get pointers on places to check out from locals not a guide book. Every CS we met in Europe on our trip was very nice and helpful in giving tips on where to go and great events going on in the city.
Interests
My wife and I enjoy being out in nature and seeing the wonders of the world. We love hiking, biking, skiing/snowboarding, swimming and going on trips together. We enjoy listening to all types of music and discovering new music. We love going out for a good beer or if the night is right going out for a crazy night of partying! We both enjoy traveling around the world but have many more places to visit on our list.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
We backpacked for 2 days covering 18 miles while in Kauai's Grand Canyon area of Waimea Canyon. We were lost with no cell service in the remote area for majority of the time since our map didn't show the 18 different river crossings we would have to make during our hike. We kept pushing on during our hike since we didn't want to turn back the crazy route we had just accomplished. We ended up finding the correct route on our second day and hiked out a 2,300 foot ascend to the road where our friends were going to pick us up. When we got to the top a couple other fellow hikers doing a day hike ended up taking us to a local bar and bought us food and beers after hearing we had been lost backpacking the past 2 days. It is one our numerous awesome adventures we have been on together and look forward to having more in the future.
Teach, Learn, Share
-We can tell people about the great places and sites to visit that we have already been to. Also the places to not waste your time visiting.
-We can learn different cultures, food, architecture and museums to visit in the cities we visit. Also learn more words in different languages.
-We can share our adventures traveling with people we meet along our way or friends/family to inspire them to travel more! There is so much to learn in this world that you never stop learning.
