All about me? Well that not exactly easy to write down, but I can say that anything worth knowing about me is better in person than anything you could read. I am an appreciator of music, art, culture and all things awesome. I love to travel and I am particularly partial to spontaneous adventures!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have always stressed that Travel is vastly superior to Tourism. This is because I strongly believe that the best way to see a place and experience a new culture is through a local's perspective and not through a dingy guidebook. In an era where the media has all but scared everyone off of the notion of backpacking, it is refreshing to find a platform where the integrity and honour surrounding travel is resurfaced. I also appreciate the fact that couchsurfing is more than just a free place for travellers to sleep for a night or two; it a culture exchange and a chance to meet incredible people who have amazing stories to share. And I love a good story!

**Also, I wanted to include one thing that I've noticed many couchsurfers do that really bothers me and that is NOT leaving other surfers a reference (this applies to both hosts and surfers). The integrity of this site RELIES on having accurate and honest references for each of it's users, for how is another surfer/host supposed to know if a person is using this site appropriately or just abusing the system if no one leaves them a reference? It literally takes less than two minutes to write your experience, you do not need to write a novel. I can promise all my future hosts and surfers that I will 100% leave you a reference, I only ask that you do the same. I don't think this is too much to ask ***

I can TEACH you endless amounts of useless information about beer and comics. I can also build the perfect campfire, shout obscenities during footy matches, amaze you with my inabilities to play a game of pool and get lost in practically every town/city/country.

I want to LEARN Italian, how to play the guitar, possibly to surf (despite my clear lack of coordination) and everything I can about other cultures. It also might help to learn how to NOT embarrass myself during my brief encounters with boys.

I want to SHARE a pint with Meryl Streep or maybe a game of footy with Pele. I don’t think that’s too much to ask for...
