Hi all,

My name is Jocelyn Lugo. As you may have already guessed, I very much enjoy traveling. I am currently residing in my home state of California, but I am planning on doing some long-term traveling starting on August 8th, starting in Las Palmas. I believe that the people we meet while traveling are as crucial and beautiful as air. My favorite part of venturing off somewhere is meeting people who I can share and create amazing experiences with.

I would describe myself as a relatively quiet person who is curious, impulsive, and pretty friendly. I am big on energy. I am learning to be daring and resourceful.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing because I admire community. If I am given the option, I will stay at hostels and on Couchsurfing as opposed to hotels because I enjoy the intimate interaction that occurs between locals and travelers. Also, it is a great and refreshing way to encounter a new place.

I have only used Couchsurfing once, but I absolutely loved it. I stayed with Ruby Trejo in Vancouver, British Columbia and she proved to be living proof of genuine human kindness. Unfortunately, her review (my one and only reference) would not submit to my profile, so I have uploaded it onto here. It reads:
