ABOUT ME

I know a little bit about everything and a lot about a few things. I live in Winnipeg because I'm either frozen to the ground or flooded in, but in all honesty its the music, friends and family that keep me here.

The indie music scene is big for me, yoga plays a huge part in my life and my hobbies change with the season but some remain the same! I enjoy starting my day with some yoga & meditation and like to see what kind of creations my cupboards and I create when cooking supper.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

While I'm in Winnipeg I love to live precariously through other people's journeys. I've met the most lovely people who grew into friends, shared entertaining stories and had my eyes opened to a world beyond what I've seen through their travels. Winnipeg is a beautiful and ugly city and I like to show people the best places I've discovered here and why I've made it home (for now :)

Life is expensive and experiencing the true nature of the places I visit is best done through surfing. I use this whether travelling for work or pleasure and it's always proved the best way to travel.

Interests

I spend my time with all sorts...I like to cook, I like to read, I really really like to go to music festivals and camp. I'm pretty good at mountain biking on trails and I've been doing yoga for over 10 years. These are a few of my favourite things.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think one of my greatest moments was my first mountain experience. I remember the first time I saw the Rockies and it was so surreal...then when I had the opportunity to see the Highlands the feeling was so familiar. In honest awe of what was all around me. The one thing I couldn't get over was how magnificent each of the mountain ranges were, but how different they were from each other. It was a moment when I realized I was truly Canadian because to me...mountains will always be "rocky".

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you yoga and about living in the moment, I'd like to learn French and about how others survive this game called life and I want to share the city I live in and my strategies of survival.
