Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Do as you would be done by, wherever you may go.
ABOUT ME
I am not too keen on describing myself (who could be?), so, essentially, let us say that I endeavour to treat other people in a way that I would like other people to treat me (hence the idiomatic “current mission”).
PHILOSOPHY
Philosophy is too strong a word…Suffice it to say that I am inclined to believe that laughter is the closest distance between two people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Here is my approach to the couchsurfing project: I am interested in sharing a variety of conversational issues with my hosts, such as: overall outlook on life, the typical peaks and troughs of existence, multifarious expectations, trips-related anecdotes (not to say cringe-worthy antics) and / or whatever they are willing to talk – and, perhaps more importantly, laugh – about, although they are under no obligation to disclose anything if they do not wish to.
Lastly, I genuinely hope that my hosts will enjoy spending some time in Rennes and its surrounding area.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have thoroughly enjoyed every single couchsurfing experience that I have had thus far and am always happy to meet new people via couchsurfing.
Interests
I have an interest in a variety of things, chief amongst which are: cinema, music (classical; opera; contemporary), travels, sport (volley-ball, tennis, football, ping-pong etc.), languages (lexicography), astronomy, dancing (Cuban and Puerto Rican salsa, bachata, “French” rock’n’roll), people in general and most things I am not already acquainted with.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have yet to do anything noteworthy which, in many respects, is a truly amazing achievement.
Teach, Learn, Share
Former teacher of English as a foreign language (EFL) and French as a foreign language (FLE: français langue étrangere).
I have also been dabbling in freelance translations and interpreting since 2001, yet I wish I could begin in earnest to do both activities on a professional basis.
Moreover, I want to take up Spanish lessons and, at a later stage, Italian lessons.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A smile.
