ABOUT ME

Hello, my name is Johanna and last year I will embarked on the trip of a life time. I vagabonded from Germany to New Zealand back to the states. Traveling, having exciting adventures in unfamiliar places and meeting people is absolutely amazing!! 2012 was officially the year I put forth and realized my traveling dreams.

Life is meant to be memorable and fully enjoyed.
I was extremely fortunate to be able to do this with the support of my family, friends and with the help of you CouchSurfers out there.

People consider me to be a great friend and someone that you can always count on to have laughs with. I'm easy going and have an open mind. I can relate to and understand where people come from. I try not to judge and don't like negative people to surround me. I try to remain optimistic and see the positive in every situation. I love my life and I'm very grateful for the people that I meet on a daily basis, because I always learn something from them.

I'm currently building an awareness website, reminding people to "Love themselves". Because how can you love anyone else if you don't love yourself first! It has nothing to do with religion or politics. It's just the way we want to give back to the world. During my travels in Australia I meet my current employer JUCY www.jucyrentals.com a New Zealand based company and now I live in Long Beach California.

PHILOSOPHY

During my journey I spread the word that loving your self is important, I believe that you have to love yourself first before you can love anyone else....my personal quote is "Because loving yourself is an every day thing"

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I hosted a couple of Italians in Miami at my parents house and it was a great experience, great guys. Since I started traveling in Sep 2012 I've couchsurfed a few times and I love being able to learn and share my experiences with like minded people

兴趣

I'm very adventurous and like to try new things I've never have before, I always say "you never know until you try it!" I currently belong to a very unconventional running group named Hash House Harries "A drinking club with a running problem", you will either love or hate this group, its not for everyone. This year has been a very active year for me I do so much every week. I'm currently training for Triathlons so if I'm not swimming, I'm biking and if I'm not biking I'm running and sometime I do the 3 in one day! I like to keep active and busy, makes me feel like I'm being productive.

Favorite movies, I have many, but I would have to say that "Love Actually", "Brave Heart" and "The Way" are in my top 3. I like all kinds of music, don't have a favorite one.

I see amazing things around me almost every day, even the little things amaze me.

Recently I completed my first mountain bike (off-trail) triathlon in Kauloa Ranch,Hawaii (were Jurassic park was filmed) It was one of the most difficult things I ever have done and I am glad I did not break my neck! Though I do have some scratches to remember the race by and the views were just breath taking (literally). One of the best and most dangerous things I have ever done in my life.
