PHILOSOPHY
Believe in and be... The world you wish to see. (A few intentional differences to Ghandi's quote.)
You don't stop playing because you get old, you get old because you stop playing.
Love Self Discipline. Discipline Self Love.
Love without understanding may not really be loving at all.
This is this because that is that.
There is no try. Do or do not. -Yoda
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
So far, I've just surfed... In the future, I hope to add some hosting to my resume!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I hiked across America in 2008. Indirectly, I couchsurfed in Utah and Nevada and it was great. Indirectly, you question? Another guy hiking across America (W to E) told me about the people he stayed with through this site and put me in contact with them too. (I hiked E to W.) I also used couchsurfing this year when I circumnavigated FL on my bicycle with my boyfriend. Our nights couchsurfing were some of the highlights of the trip. It's a community that restores my faith in humanity! I've also used it on cross country road trips, circumnavigating FL on my bicycle, and road tripping to Alaska with my veggie truck. LOVE IT!!!

Music, Movies, and Books
I read A LOT.... mostly spiritual and motivational. Ishmael and The Alchemist are probably my two favorites. Thich Nhat Hahn, Anthony Robbins, Dan Millman, Tolle, etc... Can I admit to loving The Twilight and Hunger Games books!?
(1/5/15 edit: haha Oh, how I miss reading. Jude turns 1 in a couple of days and I think the same book is gathering dust on my nightstand that I was reading when pregnant. I'll get back to being avid reader someday, right?)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I hiked across America, 4100 miles (8 months and 8 days) in 2008 with no vehicle support. Hugs for Humanity to raise awareness and funds for Neurofibromatosis and Alzheimer's. www.trailjournals.com/adt4nf
(Circumnavigating FL on my bike this year was a cool second. www.crazyguyonabike.com/doc/fl2010)
Living on St. John at an eco resort and driving my veggie truck to Alaska to see the eight National Parks up there in my 2nd trimester were also sweet and memorable adventures!
