About Me

ABOUT ME

Well I am a mixture of extrovert and introvert for starters. I am pretty outgoing, though I can be shy at first. People say I am a very relatable person, and honest, which is what I try to be as that is what people need. I try to make people laugh, go with the flow (though I enjoy planning for specific things), always like to try new things, and am very adventurous. I recently got a Masters degree in Entrepreneurship, but quit the business I started and decided I wanted to teach Business. So in August 2012 I moved to Yantai, China and started teaching at a local university here with some of my other friends from back in America.

Interests

I really like food, and trying just about any type of food, so I am a very adventurous eater. I like finding new things to do and places to see. Music is a big passion of mine, listening and playing. I play a little guitar but I really like playing djembe. I like doing things that are a little dangerous, but not too dangerous ha, so taking risks gives me a rush. I enjoy people, and learning about their story and their faith. I also LOVE to dance, though I am not the best. I recently started getting "hooked" on a few TV shows, The Walking Dead, and New Girl.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My Dad lived on a sailboat when I was from 12 - 15 years old. He took me spearfishing in the Bahamas and Florida Keys, this was one of the best things I have ever done. I love to swim, and I like fishing, oh and holding my breath ha! The water is beautiful, a great way to see underwater, and who would turn down living off the land?

When I lived in Cape Town for a summer, I was a consultant for historically disadvantaged entrepreneurs. I saw the way some people lived, yet they are some of the most hard working people I have met. This time for me was very life changing, and encouraging!

Weirdest/coolest food that I have eaten= Shark lip, donkey, raw quail egg, chicken heart, and the most recent, dog.
