ABOUT ME

Matt and I met in college as Elementary Education majors and fell in love in the very last semester of classes. I am now a first grade teacher in Charlotte, North Carolina and I am very fortunate to love my job. Matt is just finishing a service of over two years as a Peace Corps volunteer in Bulgaria. He teaches English to Bulgarian students in the village of Krainitsi. We share a love of traveling. Exploring a new city, hiking beautiful trails, and enjoying an interesting conversation over a delicious beer are all ways you'd find us spending our free time. Matt finishes his Peace Corps service in Eastern Europe in July and we plan to take the opportunity to see a little more of Europe before he moves back to America. We plan to visit Rome, Venice, Paris, and Instanbul. In the years to come, we have plans of teaching abroad together in South America.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am just getting involved with Couch Surfing after hearing nothing but positive experiences from my travling friends. I will be attending my first Couch Surfing event soon and I look forward to learning more and becoming a part of the Couch Surfing community!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first Couch Surfing experience was when a Couch Surfer pair stayed at the house I was living in for the five weeks I spent in India. They were traveling all over the world for a year and used CS almost everywhere they went! They had such great things to say about their experiences.
