ABOUT ME

I am a twenty eight year old fun loving, down to earth American girl. About three years ago, I abandoned my conventional lifestyle for one that is far more interesting and fitting for my personality. For the past three years I have been traveling, working and volunteering in various parts of the world and I have no plans to stop anytime soon! At the moment, I work primarily to support my addiction... traveling! I abs. adore roaming around the world meeting new people and being out of my "comfort zone". I love a good laugh and I think there is nothing better than laughing with a group of people from all different walks of life.

PHILOSOPHY

I Just want to be happy and content in all that I am doing. Its that simple. The less I have, the less I want. I find peace in simplicity. I live a life of NO regrets. That is so important to me. I am also a firm believer in Karma. I think it is beyond important to give back!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had quiet a few couch surfing experiences. However, the one that stands out the most is one that I had in Perth, Australia. I somehow landed myself a bright orange couch (that was basically outside) from speaking to a man in Thailand who knew someone who knew someone in Perth... It was my first surfing experience and I was overwhelmed by this strangers kindness. I think the whole concept is brilliant!

Interests

As you may have guessed, I love to travel. I also adore volunteering at orphanages and animal rescue centers. I also really enjoy practicing yoga and reading. I am an absolute beach bum and I have been known to chase the sun. I love to swim! I am a very social person so I love any and all forms of socializing. I def. enjoy a drink or two or sometimes ten. I also love dancing although I have abs. no rhythm whatsoever.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite movie is Good Will Hunting and Igby goes down. I'm a sucker for a rom com but I also enjoy good quality movies.
I am obsessed with Music. I love any and all music, although I tend to shy away from country music.
As for books, I have so many books that I love for different reasons. One of my favorite books is def. The Reasons I won't be Coming.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the more amazing things Ive done would have to be helping with building and starting an orphanage in South Africa.

Taking a group of 20 Malaysian eighteen year olds on an over night hike in the mountains in China.

Teach, Learn, Share

Although it might not sound like much I think the best thing I have to share is my ears... I am an incredible listener! Also, I have a very whats mine is yours attitude. I am happy to share everything from my meal to my heart with the stranger next to me.

I hope to continue to learn more about the world and different cultures through the various incredible and unique individuals out there!
