About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To make the world happy through music - one song at a time...
ABOUT ME
Aloha! I'm a travelling singer-songwriter and musician from Scotland but now living in Germany who, when not eating-sleeping, spends his time singing and performing music to anybody who wants it. I've been into music for as long as I can remember (and, apparently, before that too) and would always be singing round the house to whoever was in earshot. I've always loved travelling and have been to some really cool places, including: Sri Lanka, Poland, Sweden, the Czech Republic and...England! I've spent the last six 1/2 years in Liverpool studying music and soaking up the local culture, including the many places that inspired The Beatles. In summer 2012 I took seven weeks touring around Germany performing in people's living rooms, gardens, public parks and even on a bridge! I regularly sing on the streets in towns and city centres as a 'busker' when not gigging, and enjoy the wide-open spaces and meeting new people that the experience brings. I'm very lucky that I get to spend my time doing what I love and make a living from it at the same time. I'm always up for making new friends and learning a bit about the world, so come on over and say hello! :)
PHILOSOPHY
As John Donne once said: "No man is an island" and it's true - we are all connected, whether we like it or not. Oh and that quote about dancing like no-one's watching - because life is too short to worry or care what others think about us.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm open to being both a host and a 'couchee' (don't think that's a word) and looking forward to meeting lots of fellow couchsurfers! Also, I'm always on the lookout for new places to perform so, if you know somewhere or have a place that would be suitable, I'm all ears :)

Teach, Learn, Share
As a travelling musician, I offer my services as a 'walking jukebox' (I currently know over 450 songs and rising) to living rooms, gardens and public spaces around the world. On my travels I often need somewhere to stay, but in return I like to offer the option of a house concert to my hosts.
