About Me

Greetings! I'm a friendly, mild-mannered sort of person with bookish tendencies but a deep need for adventure and outdoor fun.

I love walking, cycling, sailing, anything to do with seeing the countryside and exploring nature, as well as relaxing in the evenings reading, writing, cooking yummy food, pottering with projects, playing the guitar and sitting around an open fire. I also like the odd pint in a cosy pub.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm taking a break from work to try to reconnect with myself and the world around me. I'd like to meet new people and make new friends and memories.

Interests

I love walking, cycling, sailing, gardening, anything to do with seeing the countryside and exploring nature, as well as relaxing in the evenings reading, cooking, pottering with projects, playing the guitar and sitting around an open fire. I also like the odd pint in a cosy pub!

It's always nice to discuss the big issues of the day and get really deep into politics, literature or philosophy with like-minded folks.

I'm interested in green technologies, self-sufficiency and all the wonderful new stuff our society is inventing.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm not pretentious enough to think I have anything to teach... we all just muddle through and try our best!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have a silly sense of humour and I am kind, hopefully engaging, company. I'm quite well-read so I think I can hold my own in conversation on most topics apart from sport and celebrities!
