I'm Joe and I'm from the UK. I’ve been living on the go for the past 2.5 years working as a digital nomad but now heading to Melbourne on a working holiday visa. I enjoy meeting new people, dancing and living life to the full! I'm a keen football fan, outdoor enthusiast and consider myself to be a spiritual person. As a guest I am someone who is clean, respectful and self-aware. I also really enjoy cooking and would be happy to cook us some nice healthy food.

My only experience with Couch-surfing came last year when I travelled the US for 6 weeks and stayed with several amazing people, where I had experiences which wouldn’t of been possible through staying in hotels. I’ve now fell in love with this way of traveling as I love to connect with people and make meaningful friendships, something CS allows me to do.

My interests are quite different having picked up different things in different stages of my life with some sticking and some not. Recently my interest in the spiritual side of life has really grown and I am enjoying practices of meditation, yoga and breath work. I remain an avid football fan and you can often find me watching the games on my laptop or in a local bar. I enjoy hiking and being in nature, especially through forests and jungles!

Music for me is the gateway to my soul! I love finding new music and dancing to whatever is playing. Latin American medicine music is my favorite genre however I love most genres, such as funk, house, indie rock, jazz etc.

I'm not a huge movie watcher but if I had to pick one I'd say Django Unchained, what a movie!!

My favorite non-fiction books that I've read are "I may be wrong", and "The power of now". I also recently read my first fiction book for years, it was called "His Dark Materials" and it was brilliant! I would love some good book recommendations as I plan to read a lot more this year.

I did a 7-day Ayahuasca retreat in Colombia and it completely changed the trajectory of my life. It gave me clarity to make difficult decisions in my life through putting me in touch with my intuition and showed/is still showing me the importance of being in the now!

Dancing is my passion, and I would love to teach this to anyone who has a desire to freely express themselves in this way. I can also help you with some accounting if you need it aha.

I'm keen to learn more about the universe and all of its mysteries and also would love to learn more about different cultures and ways of life. I love deep conversations, no matter the topic.
