My name is Joe and I’m 26 years old from Seattle, WA. I’m currently traveling through Italy right now on my first big solo trip and would love to meet up! Back home I’m a music producer as well as a laboratory manager of a cannabis testing lab (its legal in WA!) I love music, both making it and seeing live artists, movies, good food, good drinks, and I like to read philosophy and talk about what goes in to living a good life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet others who are traveling in the same open frame of mind. I like to do my own thing when traveling, but to be honest I’m a little shy just meeting people off the cuff, and it can be difficult to do that when in a different country and I’m still a novice at speaking the language.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies. Horror especially is my jam, the more bizarre the better. Let the Right One In, Social Network, and Mulholland Drive are (currently) my three favorites. I love all music and other expressions of self, but in particular there’s a lot of forward thinking electronic music and sound-design based film scores that I really dig. Into mostly non-fiction, history, philosophy and memoir based stuff, which I consume mostly through audiobooks and podcasts.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I performed at one of Seattle’s biggest music festivals this summer! And I’m planning on playing many more. Just took my first solo trip out of the county last week to meander through Italy for a few weeks

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: music! Especially music production. I probably spend more time in Ableton than I do on everything else. And I’m always in the mood to talk, share and create something
Learn: Italian! I studied a bit before coming, but it’d be great to practice with anyone who is down and has some patience. And photography. Just got an RX100 and still learning how to use it
Share: everything. I love hearing about others interests and passions
