About Me

Hey all!

I decided to try this traveling thing in 2014 when I moved to Thailand to take on a position as an English teacher for 1 year. This transitioned into backpacking India and living in Dubai for 3 years.

I've since moved back home to Long Island, New York, but still use CS when I travel and will open up for hosting as well shortly.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm Couchsurfing for a few reasons:

Meet locals to get some first-hand knowledge about someone's native country. I know it sounds cliché, but I want to experience the real country (wherever it may be) that you can't find on Google!

Couchsurfers are usually travelers themselves, I love to hear stories about other countries and places I may not have heard of before.

Traveling on a budget! Want to spend my money on exploring a country, as I won't be spending much time in my room at all. Plus, I love the personalized experience and feel staying with a CSer provides.
