I'm a 24 year old recent graduate who loves travelling. I'm laid back and enjoy being around people. I like to think I'm easy to get on with and it's my dream one day to open a series of hostels.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For me what makes a country is the people who are there and so I love meeting new people from all over the world. I couldn't afford to do as much travelling if I was relying on hostels alone (I avoid hotels where possible because I find it more difficult to meet people). I love listening to people talking about their travels because they're usually excited and proud of what they've done/ seen and I really think travelling brings the best out of people.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I loved my time volunteering out in Sri Lanka doing the typical teaching english and working with elephants at the Millennium Elephant Foundation. I like to do things off the beaten track traditionally but when I managed to feed Ranmonika (the elephant I was working with) who was notorious for her hatred of vitamin tablets, a vitamin ball and she didn't spit it out. It was a heartwarming moment that I'll always remember.
