About Me

Hello ALLL! My name is Joe, I'm from a small town called Grimsby in Northeast of England, I was born in 1991 to two of the greatest folks in recorded history; My parents.
I'm a professional housepainter by trade and I have been using this skill to work and traveling In multiple different cities around the world. I've predominantly spent most of the last 5 years in Austrailia and New Zealand with a brief stint in Europe in between. It's time for me to head home now and start something new in the way of an Education and a different career path. Fortunately, I have an obligation to be back in Europe for my brother's wedding celebrations In March/April so I thought I take full advantage of seeing some of the places I haven't yet seen.

I also have a partner in crime, her name is Chelsy and she is from the same town as me. Unfortunately, she won't be joining my currently European excursion; I'll be traveling solo this time.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Although I limited Couchsurfing experience, I signed up a few years back with the Intention experiencing other countries cultures through the people who experience it on a daily basis.

Unfortunately, I mostly lived in shared houses and hostels while overseas, I was limited to hosting. But now that I will permanently be situated back in the UK I will be opening my doors to fellow travelers; Though my location is far from the most geographically desirable place in England, Pubs are never too far away.

Interests

My most consistent interest and passion through life, has definitely been Football. As well playing 2/3 times a week, even now in NZ, I can also talk about every aspect for hours on end.
I recently took up Yoga at a fairly intermediate level and am thoroughly enjoying it.
I've also been listening to Podcast's regularly for the past year now, normally I can listen to 2/3 a day. The Joe Rogan Experience is my favorite.

Music, Movies, and Books

In terms of music, I'm fairly open to anything. If I was to pick a Genre I would say Folk music. Though I like to listen to whichever music is most fitting to my surroundings.

Reading is a fairly new hobby of mine due to my inability to sit and stay focused on a single thing. My favorite book would have to be the Hobbit, although I did recently read a book called Sapiens which was absolutely superb. A few of my most recent reads are : Brave New World(Aldous Huxley), Animal Farm(George Orwell) And Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. I'm currently heading down the road of ancient civilizations and alternate human origin theory-based books. e.g. Fingerprints of the Gods(Graham Hancock).

I have no preference on film, I would pretty much watch anything and everything. My favorite being Into The Wild closely followed by The Lord of the Rings Trilogy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2017 I spent 10 days walking through a Nepalese region of the Himalayas up to 5500 meters above seas level with my Father. It was an absolutely mindblowing experience that I think I will forever struggle to emulate.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have a very open mind and very good sense of humor. I really interested in hearing other people different experiences and targets as well being able to offer lots of exciting tales and hopefully constructive opinions. I spend most of my days joking around but I must say I do enjoy personal and more intense chat every now and again.
