Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Great times, great people, and great experiences. I have had the opportunity to hang out with multiple couch surfers over the past year and a half that my friend Sid has hosted. We have had great times going hiking/sightseeing on remarkably beautiful trails, attending annual local events or checking out the most notable places for food and entertainment.

I have thoroughly enjoyed meeting people from a variety of backgrounds. It's fascinating listening to people stories and their travels. Learning about how people have travelled the world whether it be from hitch hiking, train hopping, or even sneakily hitch a ride on a military flight across the world.

I must say the people truly make the experience great, as all have thankfully been kind, friendly, respectful and social. This is overall why I am on couch surfing, to have a great time, meeting interesting and fun people, and enjoy as many great place as we can. There is no shortage of great and entertaining things to do in Sudbury for all people.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to a wide variety of music as I tend to shift to different genres of music as time goes on. I like to watch action, science-fiction, fantasy, comedic, witty, some horror movies, mystery, biographies/history, etc.
I really enjoy movies with amazing special effects, cool future technology, and witty humour.

I am interested in educational, political, philosophical, law, sports, self-improvement and business books/audiobooks.

Overall, I tend to have a wide variety of interests and like to learn what I can from whatever and whoever I can.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I formed and managed a junior (under 21) men's curling team and we tied a curling team that went to mixed nationals (a team with 2 men and 2 women) 5 times. It wasn't the full team, but had at least 2 members of the original team. They were around 50-55, we were 17-19.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can offer my guests a great opportunity to explore everything Sudbury has to offer, all while teaching you about this great northern city.

There are a lot of fun and exciting places to check out, from rock climbing, curling (the sport), drinking kayaking, fishing, hiking on notoriously beautiful trails, checking out national parks and trading posts, to places like Laughing Buddha, The TowneHouse, Fromagerie, SRO, the Movie Lounge Theatre, Science North, Dynamic Earth, Events at Bell Park, and so much more!
For stay at home options, I can create some delicious meals tailored to ones liking whether I cook, bake, or BBQ. For entertainment, if a more quiet night is desired we can hang out at my place, socialize, play cards or board games, have a glass of wine and relax. Or for a more eventful evening I can invite friends over for supper, drinks, board or card games, hang out or go out. I am open to accommodating guests.
If you happen to come to Sudbury during the winter I could teach you how to curl as I have practiced, played, and coached for years!

I love to learn from people about their backgrounds, their unique perspectives, their great stories, allowing me to have a better understanding of other people all while having a great time.

I love to socialize, joke around, be active, meet new people, try new things, and make the most of what I have. I can share my enthusiastic and outgoing personality, along my own views and perspectives. I enjoy reminiscing about great and funny stories with people.
