I'm an accountant from the middle of England (the worst bit), but I think that makes me sound far more boring than I am. I'll try anything once, so if you've got some crazy experimental hobby I'll be happy to give it a go. About five years ago my family changed in a way that meant there was no-one around to cook, and I discovered that I adore cooking. I'm so interested in discovering local food and the history of local cuisine, so any knowledge or suggestions of great places to eat will be much appreciated :) I'll show you how to cook a steak and ale pie if you show me what your parents showed you how to cook?

I'm like anyone else in that I love film, music and books, but mostly I'm just interested to learn about the places I'm going to. And I didn't vote for Brexit.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm going to be travelling through Europe soon and I don't want to pass through each place without making any connections. It would be easy enough to see The Louvre and the Coliseum and la Sagrada Familia, but those things don't interest me as much as the people in a place do. I'd like to meet local people and find out about their lives, and find things that people staying in a hotel wouldn't find.
