Overview
About Me
I have completed my studies (bachelors degree with honours, 4 years!) in Christchurch, New Zealand and now I'm taking this year to explore the world!
I was born and raised in Cape Town, Sputh Africa (moved to NZ in 2008) and had the privilege of spending 2 months there in January & February 2016!
3 weeks visiting friends and family in the UK before flying to Venice on the first of April. Spent the whole of April backpacking through Italy alone, seeing and meeting as many new people as possible! Arrived in Barcelona on the 6th of May and hoping to spend the summer here :)
I am an always kind of happy person, enthusiastic and open minded about all aspects of life! I love nature, the tranquility it offers and being active but also enjoy the hustle and bustle of big cities, the night life and meeting new people!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
MAKING FRIENDS WITH LOCALS! Nothing beats seeing and experiencing a culture/ place through and with the eyes of a local :) travel is all about enriching myself through interaction and the development of friendships with people with different cultures and world views!
And off course coming off the end of 4 years as a student I am on an incredibly tight budget!
Interests
Everything on earth and beyond interests me! I am infinitely curious and enthusiastic to learn and experience new things but what I am used to is nature, running, hiking, swimming, surfing, climbing, meditation, yoga and stretching, massage, movies, music, reading....

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Walked the 300ish kms from Rome to Pisa in Italy! Meeting and making amazing friendships with complete strangers along the way! The varying degrees of English and my nonexistent Italian made this the most amazing part of my journey so far! Learnt a lot about Italian culture and language using fundamental tool of communication!
Teach, Learn, Share
What can I teach? I like the performance arts, poi, fire staff , dragon staff happy to share my toys!
All about New Zealand and South African culture!
I love learning about everything so nothing is too wierd or quirky for me :)
I managed a burger shop for 4 years so I will make the best burger you have ever had :) not to mention my wonderful company and backrubs!
