About Me
Hi! I’m Joe I’m a 22 year old from Manchester. I have just finished studying at the University of Leeds receiving a degree in chemistry and maths. Wooo!
Since graduating I wasn’t sure what I wanted but knew there is so much of the world I haven’t seen and know so little about. From this I’ve been so fortunate to join my friend Kumari in Japan and currently travelling across the states!!!
I like to think I’m super laid back and love wandering around new areas to see what you stumble upon next. Anything with history and culture is incredibly interesting to me, so I love a unique museum.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m on couch surfing to connect with local people across the globe. Everyone has experienced life differently and learning and seeing and different perspectives is important to me.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love listening to new sounds all the time so mostly let my Spotify discover weekly pick out new things for me to listen to. Some comfort music will probably be Fleetwood Mac, the Chain, Go Your Own Way and little lies to name a few favourites. I really enjoy scores from some films and I think practically anything from Hans Zimmer is gold!! Also Light of the Seven from Game of Thrones is one of the most intense scenes to watch and that track is amazing.
I’m honestly a huge space nerd so of course thanks to Hans Zimmer too I adore interstellar. I find it so awesome that it shows the first “real” image of a blackhole and the effort the film went to to make it as scientifically accurate as possible.
I enjoy a lot of films and my favourites change nearly every week. Currently a film I’m dying to watch again is Grand Budapest Hotel.
I’m not the biggest book worm as I often find myself getting lost in thought when reading taking me wayyyyy to long to get through any books. The one exception is the Witcher series by Andrzej Sapkowski. I played the Witcher 3 video game when I was younger and enjoyed the world built within the game. From then I decided to read the original books and thoroughly enjoying them!
