About Me

ABOUT ME

I guess in a nutshell I'm an artistic thinker who loves exploring. I'm currently travelling after basically working in the woods for a year (feel free to ask me about it). I'd been in that job since completing my Masters in Environmental Science. Before that I was working at a great place in London with some fantastic people for 2 years

I've travelled 4 continents and hoping to do more in the future. I think Asia or Australia are next on the list. I really enjoy trying new things. Wildly eclectic tastes in music and film. I appreciate all good things.

I really appreciate when I get to meet new people. I'm always up for a drink and will definitely owe you a few :) I like to think that getting to know me is a barrel of laughs (I can laugh a lot). Telling stories is my mission. Meeting people is my reward.

PHILOSOPHY

Always learning and improving to be a better all-round person.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm just getting into couchsurfing based on all the great stories I've been told by people I've met on my travels. Hoping to meet a variety of interesting people and am keen to host people when I get back to London.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Spent some time couchsurfing in Vienna which really made the trip a whole lot more enjoyable.
Also couchsurfed with a very hospitable guy in Paris which helped me out and that experience was really rewarding.

Interests

I've always been very artistic and try to find time to draw or paint whenever I can. In the last year or so I've started doing large publicly displayed wall murals. I guess I could be called an amateur street artist, but I've also designed tattoos for some people (I even got paid for one once, does that make me semi-pro?)
I learnt to sail when I was quite young and love being out on open water.
While travelling I find myself reading and writing quite a lot. I like to document any unusual thoughts I might have and then spend time contemplating ideas.
I'm really looking to have a good time wherever I am.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy iconic, unpredictable, visionary or game-changing films.
Books that make you think and music that you can lose yourself in.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I sailed from Ireland to Iceland in 2012 on a 50ft twin masted boat with some American guys my age whom I met in a pub in Cork, Ireland. I was with them for about a month in total and we embarked on some incredible 'free-style tourism'. Reykjavik is amazing. Some more of their friends met us out there and we had so much fun that I was seriously considering abandoning my degree to continue this trip to Greenland, Canada, East coast of America and eventually to the Caribbean.

Teach, Learn, Share

I really want to draw and paint wherever I am. If you want a wall painted or your portrait done I'd be more than happy to oblige.
I'm willing to share all of my knowledge with anyone who's interested. I know things.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook meals and draw a stunning portrait if it takes your fancy.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Bolivia, Bulgaria, Chile, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Laos, Malta, Morocco, Peru, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, Turkey, United States, Viet Nam
