About Me

I am a 20 year old student of philosophy and computer science at the University of Cape Town. There is the potential to learn more from travelling than formal education could ever provide and that's why I love it so much. I like meeting new people, learning about new cultures, discovering beautiful places and sharing music :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The philosophy behind this website and concept is awesome, it makes me really stoked to see people sharing like this and I will definitely be offering up a couch of my own as soon as I'm able to.

Music, Movies, and Books

I appreciate a wide range of genres but, as a guitar player, any music with good guitar is always a winner.

Favourite bands are: Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, The Black Keys, Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, Jack Johnson, The Doors, Rodriguez.

Movies: I don't watch much but I love Fight Club and Shawshank Redemption

Books: The Shadow of the Wind, The Prophet, Harry Potter series, A New Earth

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once picked up a baby dolphin that was stranded on the beach and put it back into the ocean.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach guitar and South African culture (and Maths if you're into it).
Learn about new cultures, languages, music and religions.
Share music, stories, perspectives and good vibes!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love to play guitar. I may not be travelling with one due to baggage constraints, but if you have one I will happily play for you while you take a nap/read/pass out.

I can also cook with limited ingredients if you'd like a taste of South African student food.

Hopefully I'll have some travel stories to share, and I can teach you some South African lingo.

Countries I’ve Visited

Czech Republic, England, Greece, Italy, Mozambique, Netherlands, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, United States, Uruguay, Zambia, Zimbabwe

Countries I’ve Lived In

Mozambique, South Africa
