My name is Joe Sammon, and I’m a 22 year old from Shaker Heights, Ohio. All my life I’ve wanted nothing more than to travel and see the world, explore it, and learn about it as best as I can. I’m hoping that with this couchsurfing account I can finally break free from my hometown and begin my journey traveling and seeing the world with my own eyes.

I’m on couchsurfing because I’m hoping it can affordably find me a way to see the world firsthand, and give me more experience with travel and breaking free from my comfort zone.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to just about any music, but my favorite artists are probably Juice Wrld, Ed Sheeran, and the RHCP. My favorite movie is Airplane, and my favorite book is virtually any atlas. I just love looking at maps!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was fortunate enough to have spent a semester abroad in Madrid, Spain, when I was 18, and visited 10 countries during my four months there, including Morocco, Liechtenstein, and Bulgaria. It was hands down the most eye-opening, exciting experience of my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

While I don’t have a teaching license, I would love to try my hand at it. Maybe teaching English abroad? However I’ve struggled to find an avenue to try my hand at that. My brain is like a sponge, so I’d be willing and ready to learn whatever my hosts/travel buddies want to share with me.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Hopefully I can share some laughs and smiles with hosts, as well as create some good stories. I’m a big fan of new experiences, so any host thats willing to take me in would be greatly appreciated regardless of location or background.
