Hi I'm Joe and I come from Essex, England (usually at this point I am told I don't sound like I'm from Essex, I never knew how widespread that stereotype was!)

I love to meet local people whenever I visit anywhere new as it is the only way to get a true 'feel' for a place. I always seek to learn as much as possible about the places I visit and am particularly interested in history, politics and social issues, and of course learning languages!

I'm also very clean and won't complain about sleeping on the floor!

Hopefully I'll eventually be in a position where I can host people wherever I'm living but unfortunately that might be a few years away yet...
