About Me

I'm an independent explorer who's looking for what I want in life. I'm very interested and eager to learn about the world and people. I'm easy to get on with, a little shy at first but then my confidence grows and I come into my own. I have been told I'm funny with a relaxed energy so I must be doing something right. I'm queer and proud and since I left London a year ago I have been exploring the world through WWOOFING, WorkAway and volunteering on projects helping People On the Move in Germany and Bosnia. I like an alternative, non-traditional life but I'm eager to get to know about the lives of others in all their different shapes and forms. I'm politically left and love having discussions about how to reflect and learn from different people's lived experiences. I'm into cleaning and like clean spaces. I've lived in London for the most amount of time in my life, but I grew up in Hong Kong from the age of 12. I'm looking for something, somewhere different, exciting and new.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I strongly believe in coops and community building. I've lived in shared housing all my life and I think sharing spaces, ideas and creativity is a very human and natural thing. I like the fact that sometimes (not always I know) when you couch surf you meet new people in a more intimate and less conventional way than say in a hostel or a hotel.

Interests

I studied fashion and sculpture at uni and I love going to art galleries and seeing contemporary work or older pieces, although I'm biased towards artists that are alive and working today, as I feel it's important to support and champion living artists.
I grew up by the sea both in the UK and in HK and I have always had a deep connection with nature, be that walking in it, picking up insects and amphibians or camping. I love swimming in nature and being surrounded by the natural beauty of the world.
I love to dance with my friends, in new spaces and wherever I feel comfortable and there's good music - although music is not always necessary.
