About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To experience right...now.

ABOUT ME

I like to think I'm widely traveled. I'm a musician, an aspiring writer, I apparently love to dance (according to my friends), and I'm usually down for just about anything.

PHILOSOPHY

Infinity.
Now.
Compassion.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm new here. Many of my friends insist that it's the best way to travel, so I'm finally taking the plunge.

This fall, when I finally return to NYC (after 7 years of rambling), I will host people on our two couches and plenty of floor space. I know everything NYC has to offer in the cutting-edge, avant-garde, and plain fun.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I just joined. I have couch-surfed extensively throughout the years, but never through this site.

Music, Movies, and Books

[Books]
Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche, Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche, Pema Chodron, Henry David Thoreau, Cormac McCarthy, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Daniel Pinchbeck, Dostoyevsky, Thomas L. Friedman

[Music]
Everything. No, really...Everything.

[Movies]
Not a passion of mine, like reading and music, but I have seen a lot of them.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

On September 17th, 2006, I watched His Holiness the Dalai Lama give an intimate lecture to a very small crowd, deep in Colorado´s beautiful Rocky Mountains.

Teach, Learn, Share

[Teach]
Hmm..teaching is learning and learning is teaching. I can teach percussion techniques. Usually pretty good with history, particularly music history. I love to talk about Buddhism. I´m also an English teacher.

[Learn]
I am always trying to learn. While I have recently departed from the heart-wrenching topic of politics, I have a growing interest in economics and globalization and would love to learn from different points of view.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, China, Czech Republic, El Salvador, France, Germany, Greece, Guatemala, Ireland, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, Nicaragua, North Korea, Panama, Switzerland, Taiwan, Turkey, United Kingdom, Vatican City State

Countries I’ve Lived In

Costa Rica, Italy, South Korea
