About Me

ABOUT ME

After living in Park City, UT over the summer, I'm currently an exchange student at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs. Headed back to Alabama for the next school year. But hopefully Iceland this summer!

PHILOSOPHY

"So many people live within unhappy circumstances and yet will not take the initiative to change their situation because they are conditioned to a life of security, conformity, and conservatism, all of which may appear to give one peace of mind, but in reality nothing is more dangerous to the adventurous spirit within a man than a secure future. The very basic core of a man's living spirit is his passion for adventure. The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.”
- Christopher McCandless

Chris McCandless is a man who truly sought to be immersed in the catharsis of life. His leap was arguably reckless, but his philosophy embodies that of the adventurer. This is what I seek. Hopefully my leap will not be as reckless, as I plan to get an MBA and a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, debt free thanks to Alabama's generosity. After that, whether it is the Peace Corps, Engineers Without Borders, WOOF, teaching English in Asia, Burning Man, a cruise ship contract, I plan on wandering the world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most incredible experiences I've had was backpacking Europe for a month after graduating high school. A friend and I did some volunteer work in Berlin for a few weeks, then we hit up Prague and Paris. To much to talk about here, but I will leave it at the joys of traveling are countless!
