ABOUT ME

I've now moved to Paris, the city of love and light :D working at a start up as an English content writer. It's scarily exciting, the metro stinks, administration is designed to make foreigners suffer, but i'm loving every minute of it!

I am a University student from Hong Kong. Coming from such a tiny city, everywhere else in the world is amazing and exciting to me. Having traveled quite a lot of Asia, I would love to explore Europe, especially because I am now doing my exchange semester in Lausanne, Switzerland.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Great experiences so far with couch surfing!
Twice in Switzerland and once in France, Lyon!
One in Luzern, with an amazing young couple with a super adorable cat. They made us cheese fondue and we made them Chinese soup for dinner. wonderful exchange!
The another in Zurich, with several young university students. very cool, nice and helpful people! They invited us to their parties and a bar opening.
The third time in Lyon, with an amazing couple, super welcoming and easy-going. Great French good and interesting conversations!!

Interests

when i'm alone (and when i'm not on my computer watching American TV shows) i spend most of my time.... thinking. (hah and yes I do tend to think more than I act) and reading and singing and sometimes doing Yoga. I write sometimes but I write more in my head than with my hand...so I don't have much actual writing to show. I play the piano, violin and I used to play drums and flute also. I was too lazy to practice though so I just lost it. I speak both Cantonese (you can't "speak" Chinese. people in Hong Kong speaks Cantonese and people in China mostly speak Mandarin. Chinese can be written, though.) and English fluently. Speak clumsy Mandarin and am learning French.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Anything with Johnny Depp and Hugh Grant...haha. I like any movie that makes me cry. or cheesy movies. Most PIXAR films...UP in particular. or movies about food (i.e. Ratatouille!)
Books: Paulo Coelho. Toni Morrison. Fitzgerald. Edith Wharton. OSCAR WILDE. George Orwell. the classics.. (I'm a literature student) Harry Potter (die-hard)!

-Looking down at Lucerne from Mt. Pilatus!!
-standing in the middle of time square New york.
-waking up to a snow-covered view from my room's window in Switzerland
