About Me
CURRENT MISSION
to make international connections! travel, taste amazing foods and drink delicious wines and beer.
ABOUT ME
i like to travel and make cocktails for friends.. make music. compose stuff... movies etc.at the moment I just left my full time job at an advertising agency in Sydney where I shot and produced commercials/online content for all sorts of clients. Now heading over to the USA and Europe for a bit of a chill out !
PHILOSOPHY
I believe the best way to experience a new city or country is to force yourself to get completely lost, (always carry a map incase it becomes life threatening!). I find you always come across the best local secrets when you're not looking for them.
By doing this i found for myself:
The best local sushi house in Tokyo
The most buttery croissant in Paris,
The greatest live music in New Orleans,
The cheapest street food in Phnom Penh,
The tastiest pho in Saigon,
The creamiest gelato in Rome,
The cheesiest poutine in Montreal,
The perfect balance of crunch and softness in a bagel in NYC,
The spiciest enchiladas in El Paso,
The most bizarre foods in Cairo,
The cheapest DVDs in Beijing,
The most Australians in one bar in London,
The biggest serving portions of food in Texas.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Couchsurfing - it is fantastic! so easy to meet people, and the best part is you see how locals live in the places you visit! so its an incredible addition to your travels!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I Couchsurfed in Tokyo, Paris, Ireland, The South of France, and London in june 2008. hoping to get back to it now!
Interests
Making travel documentaries are also a key to hilarity and good times reminiscing after a trip. Everything must be EPIC though when it comes to my artworks..! Big music, big shots and epic scenes. Who would have thought encountering a lost turtle in the middle of Florida could be comparable to epic dramatic scenes in blockbusters from Hollywood!
Summer months = (in sydney,) Sailing on the harbour, going out with friends, big BBQs, beaches, road trips, bike riding and kayaking the harbourside, festivals, markets, sports, outdoor cinemas! Winter = serious period of the year... working, shopping, hot morning cappuccinos on the windy harbourside...

Music, Movies, and Books
moulin rouge, 007 casino royale, day after tomorrow, perfect storm, shrek, the ring, simpsons movie, corpse bride, sweeney todd, da vinci code, the island, poseidon, nemo, and definitely uni movies. despite their crapness
I like most types of music except rap and headache inducing tunes.
Favourite bands though are the killers, coldplay, eskimo joe, evermore, offspring, foo fighters, ben folds, jack johnson, ben lee, missy higgins, pete murray, michael jackson, bon jovi, good charlotte, black eyed peas, danny elfman, disney for sure, evermore, greenday, garbage, living end, michael buble, nickleback, no doubt, silverchair, red hot chilli peppers, sneaky sound system, thirsty merc, u2, weezer, the whitlams, arctic monkeys...and studying music such as beethoven and hans zimmer haha
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of best traveling experiences has been riding horses back through the Sahara desert, going up and down sand dunes towards the great Pyramids! fantastic!
i fell off the horse though.. but i got back on it... eventually... Also sailing in an Ocean Yatch race from Sydney to Lord Howe Island over 3 days through pacific ocean... i spent 95% of the time clinging to dear life through treacherous storms and gargantuous waves, also clinging to my vomit bucket very very tightly.
Teach, Learn, Share
Ive learnt piano since age 4, so can play/entertain/teach others that i guess! also i make/know a fair amount of music... and i have been learning French for a few years now! I also like picking up bits of other languages too... thus far i know an absolute TINY bit of Japanese.. and Spanish! i want to widen that knowledge though! i can also make a few mean cocktails and cook a mud crab!
