About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To eat as much incredibly spicy food with cool people in beautiful places as possible.
ABOUT ME
I'm landing in Santa Cruz this fall (2014) > via Indonesia > via the upper Midwest. Tryin to meet cool people in what seems like a really cool place. Lets do things in/by/on the ocean because we don't have one of those where I come from.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I haven't gone through the official couchsurfing website most of the time, but I have surfed my fair share of couches and other pieces of furniture in the US and Indonesia (in Indonesia you're often surfing the floor, but you learn to enjoy a good hard surface). No better way to learn about a new area than to stay with a good host.
Interests
Photography/Film, cooking spicy food for large groups of people, baking bread, biking, reading and writing, various forms of social agitation, and general outdoor tom-foolery.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Recent: Stuck my face near the giant, rotting-flesh reeking, spiked mouth of a Rafflesia arnoldii flower in Sumatra. If you don't know what that is, please take a moment to google it now.
Teach, Learn, Share
I get to work in some pretty cool places, including rainforests and cities of Java, Sumatra, and Borneo.
I could also teach you to bake bread (including sourdough) or how to cook Indonesian style fried rice or curry.
Countries I’ve Visited
Belgium, Germany, Malaysia, Switzerland
Countries I’ve Lived In
Indonesia, United States
