About Me

I’m an Artist who likes to draw and paint and learn and create with my hands. I enjoy tending to plants and making spaces inviting and I like to wonder around new places and meet new people. I like to move and play sports and exercise and outdoor activities such as soccer, ultimate frisbee and disc golf and hiking and biking around. I just went to Brazil recently to visit my friend and his family and try to surf 🏄‍♂️. I am slowly learning Spanish and working on being a better digital artist. I write ✍️ things down for ideas and short stories and I fill my sketchbook with all the things that come to mind.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing because I realize how important it is to find decent places to stay and potentially get a better idea of an area or city from people who live there. Also I would like to host sometime because I was welcomed a long time ago in NY and I would like to give back too. Beyond that I feel that with the ever increasing prices of hotels etc. it makes sense that a community of like minded individuals can help each other save money and have a good time.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy a wide variety of music and films. I have recently been listening to a lot of podcasts and like to hear different viewpoints on politics, health, comedy and science. Some of my favorite books are by the beat writers and recently books on habits, Artists, and Lenny Bruce

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have worked on some amazing TV and Film shows as well as mural projects and traveled around the states…. but what takes the cake for me is finally going to Brazil and out of the U.S. for the first time recently. I also would say doing stand up comedy was one of the hardest things I’ve done… it’s lonely up there on stage ha.

Teach, Learn, Share

I could explain color theory to you and show you how to achieve depth in painting if you want. Or how to make a really cool mask out of cardboard and hot glue if you wish. I know a good bit about the place that I live and things to see.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have a room I’m working on turning into a guest room, and I have plenty of space to relax and I have spare bicycles to take riding. You can cook here or walk to plenty of places in the downtown area.

Countries I’ve Visited

Brazil
