About Me

I love to travel the world, meet new people and see new places. It is truly the greatest thing, to be able to experience new places and cultures, and learn new things about the world and the people in it.

When I don't travel the world, I have to make money so that I can…and I actually love what I do. I teach history to grade 7-8-9.

I do try to enjoy the little things in life as well, whatever they may be. A good meal, a nice coffee, a spectacular beer, a quiet evening at home or a good night out with a good friend. I hate to complicate things, it should be logical and simple!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet new people and share experiences!

Interests

As I teach history I am quite a nerd on the subject as you can imagine. I love museums and learning about history in new places and cities. I try to expand my historical knowledge more and more to understand where things have come from. It is fascinating!

I do like other things as well. I am as passionate about football (soccer) as I am about history, and Manchester City FC will always be in my heart. I follow them closely.

Also interests can be quite random at different times, it doesn't have to be a specific topic, event or passion. A beer festival could be awesome, a visit to a cool art gallery, a walk through the city or a music concert with a good band. A lot of things could be interesting!

Music, Movies, and Books

For traveling I love lonely planet. Otherwise I like historic novels (both fiction and non-fiction), and Dean Koontz.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I trekked the inca-trail to Macchu Picchu in Peru.
