About Me

American student abroad. Returned Peace Corps Volunteer and current Master's student. I'm a friendly, social, spontaneous guy. I love meeting new people, especially when they have a story to tell.

I recently moved to the UK after living in Ghana, and will happily teach you some Nabt.

I just got back from a massive Eurotour, and I’m so excited to keep my travel momentum going.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love travelling, especially road tripping. The opportunity to explore new places and cultures while also staying with a potential new friend? That's priceless.

Interests

I love movies; I'm part of an old Hollywood family, and the silver screen runs in my veins. Classics, new films, cheesy horror, Oscar bait--I love it all!

I have an Entomology degree, so I love all things creepy and crawly. I have twelve beautiful pet spiders and one very little snake, none of whom will be invited to sleep over at your place.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Terrible indie music. Really just the worst, pretentious kind of stuff. I promise not to play it in your house. I've rarely heard a song I didn't like, so show me some new tunes!

Movies: I love most movies, but among my favorites are (in no particular order): The Fall, Cloud Atlas, Fight Club, The Matrix, and The Hunchback of Notre Dame.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Roadtripping the U.S.! With friends, alone--I love going from one coast to another!
I've seen roadside attractions from the exciting (like a homemade dinosaur-themed park) to the plain weird (like a chicken mogul's enormous statue). If my car can take me there, I'm down for a trip.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can tell a lot of stories. Or I can keep to myself, if you'd prefer! I love storytelling, I can always find something to talk about. I think stories work on the barter system, though. I'll tell you mine if you tell me yours!

I’m vegetarian, and used to be vegan. I can show you some of my favorite easy veg meals! Or something a little more complicated, like my West African veggie burger recipe!

Countries I’ve Visited
