I love traveling and the great outdoors! I'm fond of hiking, climbing and skiing so naturally I prefer mountains over beaches.

When I'm not traveling I study engineering and work extra at a cinema. Feel free to ask me about math problems and/or movie recommendations :)

I began couchsurfing as a way to save money on a long backpacking trip. I kept couchsurfing because of all the incredibly cool and nice people I got to meet!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I first heard of couchsurfing a few years ago and decided to try it during a backpacking trip in Europe. I consider myself truly lucky to have stayed with some amazing hosts!
In the future I would love to host for myself, but that'll have to wait til I get a place of my own. Right now I live in a student accommodation unit with very little room to spare.

Interests

I'm an outdoorsy person. Right now I'm very big on rock climbing but I'm also into skiing, hiking and long distance running.
I like a lot of pop culture and can discuss game of thrones for hours.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite moviemaker/director is without a doubt Christopher Nolan. Pretty much every movie he has ever made is a masterpiece but The Prestige and The Dark Knight are my favourites.

As for books there's a few authors I really like. Along with pretty much EVERYONE else born in my generation I read the crap out of Harry Potter.
My favourite author is Conn Iggulden. I particurarly love his book series about Djinghis Khan and the Mongol empire. I also really enjoy Stephen King, but I've only read a few of his books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I flew an aeroplane without an engine. I am lucky enough to have a freind with a pilot license for glider planes (or whatever they are called in english). It was just him and me 2 km above the ground in an aircraft that weighd less then a motorcycle. It was a wonderful sensation of freedom being in control of a vehicle in flight (my friend allowed me to pilot the aircraft for a short while). I will remeber it until the day I die.
