Overview
About Me
Hi I’m Joel, a 20 year old student from the UK. I’m a curious traveller, a map nerd, and I love a good adventure! I’m quite an active person who likes to run, swim, cycle, climb, trek and most other sports. Not only do I love exploring new places, but I’m also always interested to speak to people and learn more about the local culture/ history/ food/ lifestyle.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m on Couchsurfing as I think the best way to travel is by meeting new people from different cultures. I am eager to meet new people, try new food, and learn more!

Big music fan: Mainly a fan of indie rock/ pop, but also into alternative, rock, jazz rap, pop. And always interested in discovering new music.
Favourite band: The Strokes.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I hiked a trail in the UK called ‘Wainwrights Coast to Coast’ with a friend when I was 16. It took me 2 weeks to complete, and we had to cross 3 mountainous regions! It was definitely an amazing, although challenging, experience.
Teach, Learn, Share
Up for teaching people about the Earths processes, systems and cycles. I study Environmental Geoscience at Bristol. This covers a range of topics including geology, geophysics, water chemistry, hydrogeology, tectonics and water resources.
