I'm a film/videomaker and photographer from New Zealand who loves to travel and explore places. I've been to a bunch of places around the world but don't always get the opportunity to meet locals or share experiences with other people since I often I travel alone. I thought I'd try joining this to see if there's anyone interested in meeting or hosting out there, and should you come to NZ one day my door is always open (figuratively speaking ;).

Photography and video play a big part in my life as it's my job as well as my passion. For me that's a wide range of work from travel and model photography to video production, commercial advertising and brand marketing. I'm also an adventure-tour guide in NZ and a heavy industry engineering specialist with a degree in Mechatronics & robotics. I do a lot of hiking, walking and exploring due to the travel and photography and do most other activities recreationally like mountain biking, snowboarding, canoeing and a little climbing or anything else I get the opportunity to. I'm a pretty useful person to know in NZ and if you plan to visit the country and want to go on a local adventure to see things the tourists don't usually experience or go on a road trip with me I'd be happy to see what we can do!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I usually travel alone and enjoy meeting people along the way and experiencing a city from the eyes of a local instead of just as a tourist. I meet most people through instagram but I thought I give this a go too.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Insight into the New Zealand culture and tips on travelling there, plus if you ever come I can give you a place to stay or take you on some local adventures or even a road trip. I also make pretty good nachos and some other Mexican food because it's the best ;)
I can teach photography, filmmaking and everything around the process, or if it interests you I could even even take photos for or of you. I do a lot of adventure, landscape and model photography back home which has been a great way to connect and meet people.
