About Me

Hey everyone! I'm a generally quiet person until I'm comfortable, and then I never shut up. I'm a huge nerd, LOTR and media like it being my favourite thing and I'm totally into trash TV on Bravo, which is my vice. I like to paint, write, and listen to new music, and I'm hoping that Surfing will help inspire me in those areas of my life.

I love the idea of adventure, so it's time to actually do the damn thing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to travel more before I'm 35! My job pays well, but it's not enough to travel without a little help. I'm hoping Couchsurfing will give me the chance to get out and see more of the world while staying on a tight budget.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music tends to follow dance and pop trends, with a lot of metal and rock. I'm all about that Kesha and Britney life, but boy do I love me some Breaking Benjamin. I kind of like a little bit of everything! Books is too large of a list- I like fantasy, witchcraft (historical, neo-pagan revival, fictional), science fiction, nonfiction, and poetry. My movies list is even more all over the place- horror, scifi, fantasy, Marvel (Captain America is my fictional husband), indie, foreign...if I can find beauty in it, I love it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I had the honour of doing a lot of cool things as a kid, one of them being a video of me singing with my tribal choir (I'm Chickasaw Indian) being put in the Smithsonian.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to teach and learn! I originally was going to school to be a teacher and had some great chances to work with young art and creative writing students, and that kind of carried over into my adult life (even though I'm wasting away at a casino, that is). Researching and learning new things is one of my passions!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I guess I can share my small town Oklahoman upbringing. I love to cook, love to eat, love to get a little tipsy on just the right kind of alcohol and soak in my environment.

Countries I’ve Visited

Bahamas, Dominican Republic
