CURRENT MISSION
Sing my way around the world
ABOUT ME
Brought up in Suburban London, I spent a fair bit of time skipping school (on the permission of the headmaster, of course) in order to sing in operas and oratorios across Europe. Fortunately my school work wasn't held too far back and I was offered a place to study history at King's College, Cambridge, from which I have recently graduated.
I am now about to leave academic study to focus on vocal performance, and will take up a position at the Royal College of Music in London in September.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I shall, from now on, try to persuade people that this is a jolly good idea; that no hotel room shall be used until every available couch is taken.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I was introduced to couch surfing by a housemate of mine from Princeton, New Jersey, where I spent my gap year, with whom I'd decided to make an impromptu Spring Break trip to 'anywhere hotter than Princeton, or at least somewhere where it doesn't snow in march'. So we headed down South towards Myrtle Beach SC, and stayed with two CS host families.
I like to think of myself as fairly open-minded, so I waited until we had arrived before I made my judgements of the 'nutty psychopaths' we'd probably be staying with. As it turned out, they were some of the most welcoming, generous, charitable people I'd ever met. Not only was our trip incredibly cheap, a welcome aspect for poor students, but we experienced the South as it was meant to be experienced, through the people. A trip I will always remember; people and memories that will be with me forever. Thank you.
