ABOUT ME

I'm a pretty normal guy I think. When people like me they say I'm a great friend and advisor, helpful to a fault, sincere, blunt, and fun to be around. When people don't like me they say I'm arrogant, intense, too smart for my own good, and other such things. I'm proud of the good things above, and kinda ok with the bad ones. I like to dive into the meat of who people are and I see conflict as a path to greater understanding--there's no need for anger in it. For most people politics and religion are taboo, and when people don't like me, I think it's usually because I love to talk openly and freely about these things. They're taboo for most because they're rooted at our core values, and that's what I love: finding the core of people. That's me when I'm around people. Put me in the mountains or the woods and I'm quiet as a mouse, just absorbing it all.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couch surfed in Hot Springs AR a few years ago. It was a bit on the strange side, but it was fun nonetheless.

Interests

hiking, kayaking, exploring, making music, singing, eating, trying new things, being a great father, staying fit, looking at beautiful things, time with friends, listening to great music - from man or nature, learning about people, solving puzzles and problems, and most importantly, laughing.
