ABOUT ME

I've lived in Munich through the 80s, was in the US Navy in 2002-2004, and been to much of Europe in 2011 and then Thailand where I got married in 2013, and most recently spent a few months in Colombia. Of all the places I've traveled, Serbia has been the most memorable for me. This year I hope to bring my family to Novi Sad for a few months to see about a possible bigger move there next year from Dallas, Tx.

I'm an artist and entertainer. I do video production work and event production as well. I perform often under the name VJ Puppethead from Austin and you can google that for samples. I lived in Munich, Germany for 4 years from 83-87 and now just recently moved to Pattaya, Thailand.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm very Buddhist oriented. Those are the philosophies closest to me. Taking the middle way between all opposite extremes, treating all living beings with compassion and trying to be a positive force in the universe. Looking for Synchronicity. I like to see things happen, and in a beneficial way. I'm often the leader and organizer in many events I plan. I like to see things through to a happy meaningful conclusion!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Since returning from my trip to Europe I've hosted many people from around Europe and America. It's always a blast meeting new people.
I loved to find other people to travel with sometimes while in Europe, meeting up along the road occasionally. I Went to the largest CS Gathering in the world. The Calling in Vienna in 2011 It was so great! I always visit CS meetings first in new cities when Traveling and find the best people there!

Interests

I love art/drawing and video production/editing. DJ'd music is a blast and Im an event promoter
I love to read both fiction and non. I'm a big Carlos Castaneda fan. I love photography, video editing, and illustration equally as well as Movies/Film and exploring other cultures. I'm into Stocks and Day Trading as well and I run 2 Airbnb's in the Dallas area.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love Movies: Some of the ones that most influenced my life,
Little Buddha, The Fisher King, Excalibur, Pump Up The Volume, Brazil, Labyrinth, Dangerous Liasons.
Music: Mostly Electronic bands like Beats Antique, Shpongle, William Orbit, Orbital.Massive Attack, Tricky, Morcheeba.
I also really love various styles of Darkwave like VNV Nation, Covenant, Wolfsheim, The Cure, Ladytron, Dead Can Dance, Peter Murphy. I like oldies and swing like Benny Goodman - Nina Simone and Billy Holiday. I like a wide variety of music and I DJ different styles as well.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I taught art to 7-12 year old kids for a summer, worked in a teen shelter another year. I've travelled across Europe as a teen.
Been in a Coma from Spinal Meningitis and
Been in a war (Operation Iraqi Freedom - Navy)

Currently dealing with a lot of debilitation of Multiple Sclerosis as a disabled vet.

Teach, Learn, Share

I was a computer tech most of my life, I can build and design them with my eyes closed or troubleshoot any prob with a PC.
I organize large scale events, parties, festivals and have taught many others to do the same.
I'm a decent artist and I know a lot about the Stock Market and Day Trading which I love to teach people about along with other forms of Passive Income.
I like to cook too and cook a variety of southern dishes and some foreign.
