About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Autodidactism and Polymathematics

ABOUT ME

This year I begin my PhD in Physics. I am studying quantum information theory, many-body physics, and quantum computation. I work primarily at the Institute for Quantum Computing, and the Perimeter Institute.

I spent last year doing my MSc here in Waterloo as well.

The year before I was WWOOFing with my girlfriend on various farms in Europe.

I am most interested in ideas, and am always excited to talk about them. I love eating and sharing good food, and so, incidentally, I like to cook. I hold very little against very few, and nothing against a great many. I spend a lot of my time being creative, and some of my hobbies include programming, drawing, daydreaming and learning the accordion. I am in love with a beautiful girl, and we like to travel together.

PHILOSOPHY

Personal - "The greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return." - Eden Ahbez, Nature Boy

Social - A mature society must be fundamentally different from anything that exists today. The necessary changes are cultural, not political, therefore change will only come about through dialogue and information, not violent upheaval.

Metaphysical - Consciousness is not incidental, and neither is matter.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My personal couchsurfing has been limited to some friends in Taiwan. I've met and visited with couchsurfers that my girlfriend has hosted.
